I am a design engineer myself and I like the idea of starting my own business. In order to do that, you got to have deep pockets.

With the credit crunch, it isn't a good time to try to invest right now, but it's never too late to start planning now.

I work for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn Mich, 19yrs. Right now I am seeing people are loosing their jobs everywhere.

The good market right now are green energy and road/bridge constructions. Obama is going to invest heavy in these when he takes office.

As engineers you have great experience and technical knowledge. Patent that idea and start your own business or license that idea for extra money. For more info check out my website http://www.freewebs.com/patent-invention/

I am an experienced Civil Engineer with MBA in Business Strategy and I am exploring senior leadership opportunities in transport, traffic projects and public transport operations.

I was working in Nigeria as the MD/CEO of a local transportation company. I am looking for another position elsewhere. I will be available from Nov 23rd, 2008.

I have a strong knowledge of business and finances with many years experience in public transport, strategy planning, traffic management, fleet operations, consultancy, public transport studies and solutions (frequency schedule, safety, access, congestion issues) always bringing quality and reliability to transport systems.

I’ve planned the transportation system for two cities and collaborated in another one, including the City of Curitiba, which is a world reference today.

I am confident that I can be a profitable asset to many companies. If you guys know anything, I appreciate your information.

If you have any further question, please e-mail me at maurofortes@hotmail.com

Hello everybody.

My experience tells me that all braches of science should be wrapped into single software framework. I wrote a series articles about it
http://www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/MemberArticles.aspx?amid=3080377

I intend to improve and promote this idea. So I need your opinion about it. Moreover if you have examples of scientific and/or engineering problems I will try to solve them using my software. But I do not promise to solve all of them. Let us try.

Thanks.

Terry,

Try browsing ACEC.org. I'm no engineer but I have written many policies with their members.

Does anyone have any idea where I could find a mentor to help me in my engineering career? If I could find one, I could effectively bolster my engineering experience. That would really help...
