Inside Aging

Inside aging is a large concept group. I am basing the group on the following: according to Secretary Cortés-Vázquez (Secretary of NYS), “By 2030 New York’s senior population will increase 53% to 5.2 million, and as a result we will face new and varied challenges in responding to the needs of the elderly. Currently New York has the third largest population of older persons in the nation. This is just a small example of where aging is going in my home state. Thus this topic is BIG!
The group will focus on facing the emotional needs of self-worth and integrity; the inevitability of death; and medical, vocational, educational, residential, and social needs of our population.
Who would be a good fit in the group: I would like to reach out to those who are focusing their career in working with aging individuals in gerontology to those individuals that are working with the aging within their workplace and also to those that are working at an advanced age.
