- What is BrightFuse?
BrightFuse is a talent community. It's a place for professionals of all ranks and industries to showcase their unique skills and specialties, and interact with each other in interest-based groups.

How much does BrightFuse cost?
Nothing. Its completely free, so join now!

Are BrightFuse and CareerBuilder related?
CareerBuilder is our parent company.
However, BrightFuse is a completely separate site from CareerBuilder.
This means that your CareerBuilder username and password are not the same as your BrightFuse username and password.
And, if you have any questions about CareerBuilder services, like resume posting, you should really ask them.
Registration and Sign-in Questions

I never received an activation email.
Double-check that it's not in your spam or junk mail folder. If you still don't have it, go to the
resend activation message page
and we'll send you another one.

I tried to sign up, but it says “That email is already in use”.
You need to validate your email address. If you never received an email message with the link to validate,
go to the resend email verification page
and we'll send you another one.

I tried to log in, but it says "Invalid email or password".
Be sure to log in using the email address you registered with. Double-check the spelling. If you are sure the email address is correct,
you can reset your password here.

I forgot my password.
Go to the password retrieval page.
Type in your email address, and we'll send you a link that will allow you to reset your password.

Can you send me my password?
Passwords are one-way encrypted in our system, which is a fancy-schmancy way of saying that we can't read them.
Since we can't read your password, we can't send it to you.
Your only option is to reset your password.
Account Questions

How do I delete my account?
You can deactivate your account here.
This will completely remove your profile from our system and you will no longer receive emails from the site.

I deleted my account, but my profile still shows up in Google.
It takes a few days for search engines to re-crawl our site and realize your profile is gone, so please be patient.
If you're in a terrible hurry and don't want to wait, you can ask the search engine to remove your content right away.
Visit the Help sections of the major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc) to find out how.
And yes, we've already taken down your content and put noindex meta-tags where appropriate.

My email address has changed.
You can change the email address on your account as often as you like.
Keep in mind that before the change will take effect, we'll need to validate your new email address, just as we did when you first registered.
- I want to unsubscribe from your emails.
Go to the email preferences page to update your settings.
Profile Questions

How do I get recommendations on my profile?
Any of your BrightFuse contacts can click the "Write Recommendation" link on the right side of your profile.
For everyone else (non-contacts and non-members), click the "Request a Recommendation" link on your "My Home" page.
For each email address you enter, we'll send a message with a special link inside that will allow the recipient to write a recommendation for you.
Recipients are not required to become BrightFuse members.
