Successful Turnaround of a Declining Operation (Healthcare Staffing Company)
Florida healthcare staffing company had experienced declining profits and turmoil within its leadership management ranks for more than three years. Its major business, healthcare staffing in allied health with a niche business in Leadership, was in need of re-engineering to improve pricing strategies, internet presence, new business development, marketing, and general business processes.
Many processes had not been updated in over the 3 years and the firm was stagnant.
The corporate leadership team was becoming more vocal in their disenchantment with the company’s performance and was demanding action.
Major concerns and past challenges voiced were onsite staff and corporates lack of knowledge in the healthcare staffing arena. Corporate headquarters had been in healthcare industry since the 1960’s in long term care & assisted living.
Companies’ inabilities to leverage current operations and drive new business, as well as acute care and per diem to the business were of major concerns.
Branding of company was non existent.
I was able to identify that the company was operating without a solid foundation/fundimentals (built from the top down vs. ground up).
Interactions between other service lines within organization were not favorable or used efficiently.

Another major problem was the lack of capital to fund all the changes. DCRI had an agreement (PO) on the company pending outcome of hired consultant team known as Corporate Rx Consulting to evaluate the potential profitability of the pending acquisition.
