I am working on a subconscious autobiography, involving written narratives and illustrations from my architecturally based dreams.
P E R S O N A L S K E T C H
In 1979,
I came to life in Richardson, Texas. In my early years, I would learn the value my family placed on generating possibilities and creating positive lifestyle directions. I adopted the arts of diligence, organization and rationality from my mother, while gaining a savvy for diverse life experience, an unrelenting pursuit of goals, and the ability to surround myself with extraordinary human beings from my father.
With my loving family, I spent my most formative years of childhood in the city of San Francisco, inspired by how urban walls share the land with ocean wilderness. This was a place of vast energy and a place of the most comfortable nothingness.
Continuing with these positive lifestyle directions, I spent the next 17 years in the Midwestern United States, naturally taking the path of an inventor, designer, builder, and an architect. I sought liberating experiences in competitive sports, various social realms, jobs of intense physical labor and jobs of delicate craft. I believed that the study of architecture would be enough of a gateway to develop my mind and begin building a lifestyle of my choice; even if that meant a departure from the specific practice of architecture itself. Following my formal architectural education at The University of Missouri - Kansas City, The Santa Chiara Study Center in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy, and Kansas State University, my gateway was formed.
Continuing to live, work and travel, I returned to Texas to begin my professional career as an architect. Living in San Antonio and Austin for a combined period of 4 years, I became decisive in my longtime goal of returning to the Bay Area and returning to my basic love of drawing. Over the past several years, I have been building a project of rich illustrations and written narratives of my dreams. The project is intended to become a subconscious autobiography and to reveal my life and conflict through this collection of unconventional notes.
I intend to settle in San Francisco and continue to reach significant levels of social, community and professional interaction. Specifically, I make myself available in the Bay Area to teach. Through creative writing, drawing, sketching and design thinking classes, I offer a rigorous methodology for connecting the actions of the body to the actions of the mind. For young architecture or design students, I am available to share the core of design discipline, which exists initially in mentorship. I am available for graphic design and 3-D computer modeling instruction, as well as instruction in Photoshop and similar rendering programs.
Most significantly, my hopes lie in the sharing and instilling of motivation, momentum, and in the process of creating choices for the positive lifestyles of those with whom I work and those to whom I give guidance.

Kissing Nightingale
This is an illustration firm born out of one ongoing project that is now 11 years in the making. The project began as vivid, architecturally based dreams began to occur commonly. The work is driven by the nature of the imagination and by the personal symbolism embedded in the subconscious architectural environments.
