Duties include performing reconciliations of billing systems mainframe and client databases with feedback to cross-functional teams including IT and Operations.
Provide reports documenting reconciliation findings monthly. Perform analysis of annual enrollment process, documenting process flows, extracting data files from mainframe system. Provide set up of new and rollover medical, COBRA & FSA benefits for direct billed members.
Performed systems processes within ChoiceOne Link, GIBS billing, and PowerPlus systems. This includes building new client benefit structures, creating testing scenarios for the mainframe billing systems, and follow-up with recommendations and changes to Operations, Client management, and IT developers. Assist developers in on-line benefits eligibility grid programming of benefits rules, as well.

BCBS of Florida October 2005 – June 2008
Current position: Project Analyst-Finance/Overpayment Recovery Accounts Receivable
Duties include daily analysis of healthcare claims processing as related to overpayment process flows and accounts receivable management using MS Excel and MS Access. Responsible for managing temporary contractors and vendor client employees to maintain proper workflow and improve collections. Data analysis, forecasting and trending of claims data. Advises in the development of system changes, testing scenarios, and responsible for making recommendations for changes to existing or new processes and coordinating these efforts between Finance, Operations, IT, and other cross-functional work groups. Participation in several key projects designed to improve financial and systematic issues. Cross functional technical and expert adviser to identify and document computer upgrades and enhancements and how these will affect financial data relating to claims processing and overpayments. Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting of process findings and reports as needed via Mainframe and Peoplesoft. Monitoring of 10 vendor employees, as well.

Position: Accounts Receivable Reports Analyst/Finance Dept. of BCBS-FL
Duties included responsibilities for weekly and monthly accounting analysis of ongoing collection efforts in the Finance department. Must prepare data analysis in order to support and assist management to reduce the Accounts Receivable by providing detailed graphs, and ad-hoc reports of statistical financial events affecting the unit by using sound accounting principals. Held a leadership role performed training, and monitoring the activities of four other temporary employees by maintaining workloads and productivity. Worked directly with senior management in making recommendations to reduce the accounts receivable.
