About Me

I have 27 years in the private safety/security industry through diverse arenas; such as, investigations; loss prevention, interviewing, surveillance, personal assistance, training, backgrounds, CCTV installations, digital and traditional methods; and report writing. On a management level I have held responsibilities as security director, director of loss prevention, lieutenant, sergeant, captain, and security manager/Sr. ranger.
In 2007 I introduced my experience to the education sector by working closely with our high school students; gang affiliated and at-risk groups by making safety and awareness paramount for our students, staff and parents.
I bring integrity, respect, ethics, values and leadership to the relationships among the campus climate by promoting awareness of safety and demonstrating responsibility and accountability to students'behavior, academics and attendance. Furthermore, assist students to develop the tools they need to enhance their decision-making by developing 'Goals', 'Planning', and having a 'Vision' to succeed with responsibility and accountability in mind. On the other hand, tactfully, insure their awareness that discipline actions are deemed to be enforced where discipline is needed. This is done through one-on-one mediation with the student and
parent(s)/guardian on intervention and prevention strategies. With this package, as Campus Security, School Attendance Review Board Coordinator, I will bring an array of skills that will be an asset to any district with the essential values of perserverance and success.
I will bring a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Chapman University and currently, Iam challenging the Masters degree program at Fresno Pacific University in Peacemaking and Conflict Studies with Restorative Justice as a focus area. After this discipline, I will bring my experience to the table that show 'success' to any district. I will bring the knowledge of in-depth research in campus safety; budgeting, proposal writing, training staff in intervention and prevention measure; and school violence to make the learning environment safe and free from harm. In addition, I will bring exceptional communication skills with professionalism; ethics, tact, and patience through verbal and/or written communications through meetings with students; administrative staff, school staff, parent(s)/guardians, and law enforcement at State and local levels.

Education

  • 2009 - present
Master's - Peacemaking and Conflict Studies - School Conflict Resolution & Peacemaking
    Fresno Pacific University
To complement my background, experience, education and character I am currently challenging the MA Peacemaking and Conflict Studies (PACS) program at Fresno Pacific University with emphasis in School Conflict Resolution & Peacemaking to enhance the public school systems in the CW&A (Child Welfare & Attendance)arena through facilitating conflict resolution and peer mediation for our students; staff, school administration and the juvenile court system in the community. I have earned credentials in Basic Facilitating and V.O.R.P. (Victim Offender Reconciliation Program)Facilitator cradential as well; bringing offenders and victims in our schools together to make things right and find a resolution through peaceful ways with agreements. This process is a proven method to reduce conflict; by acknowledging the restorative justice reforms; recognizing the wrong and allow the juvenile to recognize the injustice. Therefore, be accountable for those wrongs on the campus climate of the school and/or the community at large through cooperation, support and family structure by helping youths construct a balance in their lives without destruction.
