Founded medical transcription company in 1990, beginning with only a computer and printer, growing it into a thriving business with 16 employees and 200 clients, and then selling the company in 1999.
Performed all acounting duties using QuickBooks, A/P, A/R, general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, daily income/expense journal, inventory, profit/loss statements, budget and tax documents and reporting. At the time of the sale of the company, prepared all due diligence documentation and assisted with audit by acquiring company.
Developed and implemented marketing strategy, made cold calls and follow-ups.
Met with clients to assess their needs, negotiate contracts and implement service. Maintained good ongoing relationships with clients.
Recruited office manager, medical transcriptionists, delivery personnel and office staff.
Negotiated contracts with vendors and purchased equipment and supplies.
Supervised employees, scheduled and maintained good workflow, and performed quality assurance on transcribed documents.
