Carey Hagan works in tandem with business owners and residents to place an emphasis on sustainable living in Australia and beyond. Advocating the creation of environmental solutions through education and research, Carey Hagan understands the vital importance of making short- and long-term changes for how populations live. With over 40 years committed to ecology, The Australian Conservation Foundation has proved to be the perfect conduit for Carey Hagan’s passion for “going green.” Outside of her environmental efforts, Carey Hagan is an avid fan of bird watching, skiing, jogging, hiking, and taking part in two of Australia’s favorite pastimes, tramping and bushwalking. In her youth, Carey Hagan enjoyed traveling around New Zealand on school holidays from her pharmacology studies. Staying at various youth hostels throughout the country, Carey Hagan first discovered New Zealand’s natural beauty. Carey Hagan graduated from The University of Queensland, Australia in Brisbane, with her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. With plans to complete post-graduate work in Clinical Pharmacy, Carey Hagan supplies medicine as a hospital pharmacist in New Zealand. Carey Hagan continues her professional development in the industry with membership in the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
