About Me

I am a Graphic Designer seeking a fulltime employment in the New York City area in the Publishing industry. I have been a Graphic Designer for over 10 years in the field and have many experience in the creation of promotional materials and was last employed by Oxford University Press which is a prominent non-profit publishing company in New York City. I have been employed by other publishing firms before that and my experiences span the gamut, including the following:

• Create and design from concept to finish print of promotional materials (catalogs, brochure, ads, posters, flyers, direct mail pieces, etc.),
• Working with Marketing staff in the creation of various pieces which include their input and suggestions in image selections, color selection and design elements to create a successful marketing product.
• Design a more contemporary look for the piece in accordance with the marketing goal.
• Have experience in the creation of promotional website for the company as well as the creation of web graphic elements to use in the webpage.
• Instrumental in the Image Database maintenance for the company’s book images which was used for advertising and promotional materials for print and web.
• I was given praised by superior and markting staff for creating a design that helped sell the company’s product dramatically during my tenure at Oxford University Press.

At this juncture, after many years living and commuting to work in New York, I am still interested in seeking a permanent employment in New York City even though I now live in New Jersey.

My previous salary was $44,000/annually (negotiable) plus the usual fringes and seeking somewhere in the same neighborhood.
