I am a forensic psychiatric nurse for the feds. I have been with Uncle Sam for almost 15 years now. I help our nation's Heroes deal with the problems that arise after they leave the military. My unit also deals with substance abuse and other addictions. I am expert at restraint/seclusion techniques and med administration. Also experienced at suicide prevention and communication with homicidal/assaultive clients. When I am not working, I love to travel...but only to cold climates, as I hate to sweat. I love to snowmobile, hike and watch snow fall - that's the height of relaxation for me.

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: all medication administration, treatment/discharge planning, restraint and seclusion of clients deemed to be a danger to themselves or others, computerized charting, 1 to 1 counseling of clients to help them make better life choices, communication with Psychiatrists concerning client behavior, medication patterns, ADLs, interaction with other staff to promote continuity of care and group therapy.
