About Me

What a great site. Still working on my profile but as you can see I do have a varied amount of experience in several fields. I feel this allows me to be a valuable addition to any organization. If given the opportunity, I would excel at a position where I could be involved in training people(love to teach), testing, inspection, writing procedures, with some travel thrown in for good measure. Bottom line is I want to help people and make things better. As you can see in my profile, I have twice returned to school to broaden my education and add to my skill set. I am also exploring self-employment, any ideas? My Blog is at Donwillhelp.wordpress.com. please check it out and tell me what you think. I enjoy fishing, camping and travelling with my family. I love to cook and it shows.

Work Experience

  • Feb 2007 - Aug 2009
    troy, NY (US)
    Quality manager
    IEM
I started as a bench technician and quickly moved into quality control where I was instrumental in setting up their quality department. After much hard work and instructing others in the company the correct way to do things, we have earned ISO 9001 certification. It is a small but successful R+D engineering firm with several patented gauges for the transportation industry. I inspected and tested parts, assemblies and finished product. I have written most of the inspection and test procedures along with auditing all MIs, AIs, checklists and all mechanical and electrical drawings. I also did field training at customer sites in the use of our products. This was my favorite part of the job. Also, since it was a small firm, I did anything else that was needed including shipping and receiving. Now that I am downsized I am looking to advance my career and ready to move on because I am always open to new challenges.
