We welcome all legitimate posts about job opportunities, provided that the posts follow these guidelines. The guidelines are designed with the purpose of protecting our members.

A) The job post must follow all applicable U.S. employment laws, and EEOC guidelines. Posts for job opportunities outside of the U.S. must follow the applicable employment laws of that country.

B) Any job which requires any type of up-front expenses, or fees are not acceptable and will be removed. The exception to this will be licensing fees that are required by local and/or state laws.

c) The post must be for an actual job that is to be filled; Unacceptable job posts include posts meant to garner a contact list for potential assignments. The job post must be for an actual position which is being hired. Posts must include either the company name or the staffing firm's name.

d) When a job is filled, the post must be updated with a comment that the position has been filled. (This applies to recruiters posting jobs only)

e) Posts must include job title, location of job (state and metro area), skill requirements, and an expiration date for contacts regarding this post.

f) Posts may not request bank account information, social security numbers, or other personal information that is not directly relevant to a person's skill qualifications.

g) A phone number or website url to review more details on the job in question should be provided in the post.

h) Any exceptions to these guidelines must be approved by one of our moderators, prior to posting a job on this forum.

i) Moderators reserve the right to approve, modify, or reject any job-related posts.

j) As this is a free resource to post job opportunities for the benefit of assisting our members with obtaining a job, we ask our members to assist us by reporting any unwelcome contact by Job Angel members.

We definitely want more job posts, but want to make sure that they are legitimate job opportunities. Far too many people out there that are trying to take advantage of job seekers trying to find work. So, we hope that we don't discourage any legitimate job opportunities, while weeding out the questionable ones.

For those who are thinking about doing some job retraining, I've seen more than one job with similar qualifications recently here in Michigan. More and more I think you will see similar type skills sets requested.

Thanks for posting Jo-Ann.
