As a Quality professional I have 12 plus years in document control and 8 years in ISO Auditing. I am an active member of the American Society for Quality and have been a board member since 1999. I love challenges and strive to provide continuous improvement in all assigned tasks. Designing document formats, developing work instructions and specification formats allows me to be informative and creative. Education and on the job experiences are important tools in broadening my knowledge base. I am comfortable working as a member of a team or independently to meet deadllines. I am always open to new and innovative ideas and methods. I stay focused on a task until it is finished.
I have been an internal ISO Auditor for over 8 years and am internally certified in ISO 9001, TS16949, and RC14001 ISO Standards. Currently, I am preparing for the CQA exam through ASQ.
As an active member of the American Society for Quality, I have served my local section board in the following positions: Newsletter Editor, Program Chair, Chair Elect, Membership Chair and am on my second non-consecutive term as Section Chair. Beginning July 1, 2009, I will be assuming the role as Deputy Regional Director for Regiona 15B. My ASQ section has provided workshops each year during National Quality month (October) on topics which relate to todays business needs such as Lean Manufacturing, ISO Auditing Techniques, Six Sigma, and Team Building. We utilize the best instructiors and consultants to facilitate these learning opportunites and it has been my pleasure to be involved in assisting NQM committee members in organizing these workshops and obtaining the facilitators to provide this training to the community and local businesses.
