Editing text into readable caption blocks and assigning time code in accordance with HBO standards.
Importation, editing and formatting previously prepared scripts.
Storing and backing-up captioning files within the HBO network and electronically transmitting files to HBO TQC department.
Expertise with all advanced name and word research technology available at HBO.
File management on the Captioning server and networks.
Updating the captioning database.
Training captioning personnel in the following disciplines: downloading files, putting together large captioning files while using MSDOS, reformatting files, and grammar utilization and spelling proficiency.
Familiar with Cheetah, Softel, and X-Orbit captioning systems.
Filemaker Pro, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT), ACT! 6.0, Lotus, 65wpm.
