Managed intranet, wrote and posted news items, ghostwrote weekly message for management and trained new content editors. Acted as project manager for numerous high-profile projects and managed the editorial calendar. Marketed the organization through its Web site. Wrote and edited news articles and features. Planned editorial focus of organization’s Web site, while creating and updating content in redesign.

Wrote press releases and correspondence, built two Web sites, responsible for all gallery openings, helping customers, accounting, and running the business for the owner when out of town (about half of every year).

Self-taught Photoshop and Dreamweaver, developed numerous Web sites for clients: www.flossmoor.org, www.jtpr.com, the Dept. of Transportation conference Web site (no longer online), developed intranet, also participated in brainstorming meetings and wrote when possible.

Hired as morning news producer, quickly promoted to the 5 pm news and then the 10 pm news. Managed the newscast daily as well as all the reporters and photographers, wrote and edited all story introductions, teases and promotions, solely responsible for accuracy of all stories and graphics, produced a ratings-winning newscast for three consecutive ratings periods, reported news updates on air throughout the afternoon.

Graduated with honors, won the Genesis Award for Executive Producer - 600 South - Columbia College's News Magazine.
