About Me

Omar Ha-Redeye began his clinical career in Nuclear Medicine from the U.S. He worked with veteran populations in Detroit, where he began his research into radiological hazards.


He continued his education in health administration and public relations and worked internationally in various health roles including emergency management.

Omar has participated as Hazardous Materials (HazMat) respondent for a major health system, and First Responder for a 24-hour university campus medical service. He also served as a Senior Administrator for a tsunami relief team that operated in rural Aceh, Indonesia.

Occassionally he consults for business, NGO, and governmental entities on subjects such as ethics, media issues, disaster management and crisis communications. His publications include scientific journals, trade magazines, contributions to university textbooks.



During breaks from school, he considers temporary work and replacement assignments for NMTs in the U.S.

He is currently completing a law degree at the University of Western Ontario, where he has received numerous awards for advocacy, including the Patricia DeGuire Cup for Best Oralist in the Koskie Minsky LLP Diversity Moot, the Justice C.D. Stewart Trophy for best team in the Lerners LLP Cup, and winner of the Borden Ladner Gervais LLP Client Counselling Competition.

Omar helps run the largest law school blog and podcast in Canada at Law is Cool.
