Helping a US based organization create a hospital urgent care system for US expats and local citizens for Ambergris Caye, Belize.

About Me

From 1985 till April 2002 I was a sales and marketing professional within the beverage and precision machining industries. In 2002 I and my wife decided to take a chance and become expats, so we moved to Belize Central America where we fell in love with the people and the country in general. However, being, somewhat, of a workaholic I began working for a local medical university as a recruiter and within two months became their director of admissions and public relations. The school began to blossom and I felt I had found a job I truly enjoyed, however due to issues in the US financial industry loans for all non-DOE educational edifices were discontinued without notice. I was dumbfounded that the current US students were not grandfathered in as their debt became due and payable within 90 days of the cessation of loans without completion of their coursework. Luckily, our professors and administrative staff, that were able, remained for the students that had one semester left for completion of their basic sciences. I never felt more fulfilled at that time in my entire employment history. I still hear back from those students, who have all passed Step II as of this writing, and are now in hospitals and research laboratories in the US, Canada, Belize and Nigeria.
Now my wife and I are semi-retired but, as always, that itch to do something worthwhile is making me antsy. . .
