I have been a merchandiser for the past 6 years. I travel to different stores in different cities. I audit different products. Currently I am auditing Sony products where I take pictures and upload them to my camera and send them to my company so the client knows that their product is in the store. In the past I audited Dr. Scholls and Claritin products. I pulled the out of date products from the shelf. I also set up displays. My first merchandising job was for Superfridge. I set up the mini freezer at the Big Bear store, putting the posters on the side of the fridge then filling the fridge up with the product. I also did resets where I went into different stores making sure a certain product is set to planogram. Sometimes I work independently, sometimes I work in a group.
I am also a demonstrator, I travel to different stores demonstrating new products. I give the customers a sample of the product, then I sell that product to the customers. I was the head demonstrator for two major demos that were taken place in every Walmart stores in the United States. I was in charge of other demonstrators, making sure they were set up, making sure they had their booklets to hand out to people. One of the demonstrations was Speaking of womens health, their website is
http://www.speakingofwomenshealth.com. The other demonstrations was for Heart Health, again I had to make sure the other demonstrators were set up, made sure they had their booklets to hand to customers.
I have an associates degree in Legal Assisting from the University of Northwestern College. In September of 2004 I was on the Presidents list for having a 4.0 for the semester.
I am also an advocate with The American Heart Association and The American Diabetes Association. I became an advocate because my Dad and Grandpa both died of heart disease and were diabetic so I know what heart disease and diabetes can do to a person. Millions of people with heart disease and diabetes doesn't have insurance and are going bankrupt paying their medical bills and I think something needs to be done.
I never met my supervisors for the companies I currently work for ( which is very part time I communicate with them through e-mail and telephone). I work independently.
