Steve Wandler’s passion for making tech support more easily accessible to people who are not tech whizzes led the company to huge success. In 2004, the Business Development Bank of Canada named Steve Wandler’s company “Technology Business of the Year.” Additionally, YourTechOnline.com was PC Magazine’s “Editor’s Choice” in 2005 and “Small/Medium Business of the Year” in 2007.
Utilizing the success amassed by YourTechOnline.com, Steve Wandler was able to make an enormously profitable business deal with support.com, the company that bought YourTechOnline.com in May 2008. With the advanced technology of YourTechOnline.com and the infrastructure of Support.com, two amazing companies have come together to create the ultimate website for people and companies to turn to when something with their computer goes awry.
Mr. Steve Wandler has deep experience in launching and growing tech start ups and leverages his skill sets in the field by sitting on a number of technological Advisory Boards. Mr. Steve Wandler is drawn to the unique issues that emerging companies face and enjoys solving problems as an Advisory Board member. Given his proven track record in international internet business, his sage advice, both technical and managerial, is heeded by his peers.
Steve Wandler is a member of the Okanagan Science and Technology Council, and endeavors to use his position to help create a bridge between Canada’s high tech companies and the Silicon Valley. Steve Wandler is also passionate about helping people and is particularly devoted to helping Africa gain better access to technology. In 2007, Steve Wandler helped launch a program where YourTechOnline.com provides support and training to nationals in Africa that will enable them to support networks in hospitals, health centers, and schools.
An active member of his community, Steve Wandler was a volunteer for the Ironman Canada triathlon in British Columbia, Canada from 1997-2007 and a former volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Born and raised in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, Steve Wandler currently lives in California. Mr. Wandler enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
