Food/Beverage:

Steven has managed 100+ employee schedules\hiring\performance evaluations (Reduced turnover from 36 to 22%). Oversaw all financial transactions\daily operations\CRM\ and work assignment delegation. (Improved revenue from 2nd lowest ($13M) in the chain of 23 restaurants to 3rd highest ($23M) in just under 1 year). Created a inventory ordering & management system, using combinations of kanban pull system and JIT, bringing a cost-savings of 6% that applied directly to the operational margins.




Human Services:

Steven has lead multiple projects in HR including the design of the GE IT Solutions Rewards & Recognition system that increased the annual employee satisfaction ratings from 45% to 65%, the second highest rating in GE's history for this category. He reduced management's monthly labor by 3 hours with a system that allowed for HR to track all awards by multiple categories and the Payroll Dept., automatically updating records for tax tracking purposes. Employees now received immediate online notifications of recognition that additionally updated their annual performance evaluations. Additional major HR projects have included a web-enabled policy & procedure site, new hire orientation, automated termination processes that managed assets, security, benefits and account updates.




Retail:

Steven has worked with Levi & Strauss in developing their asset management system & processes. This began with their procurement processes to their management of warehouses, introducing scanner technology and scheduling systems for a reduction in the cycle time from 4 weeks to 5 days. Steven also simplified their Helpdesk support with a call center consolidation that saved the customer an annual $500K. Asset Management system that helped managed asset leases, reducing buy-outs from 15% to 3% and warranties costs by over $1M. Steven re-designed their server support services from a 5-day business hr support to 24/7 support model at $260k annually less to customer.




Experience in Design (DFLSS):

Steven has led 16 DFSS projects using the DMADOV methodology in such areas as Sales & Marketing where he developed a centralized sales web center that contained customer profiles, offering & proposal templates, sales training, and lead generation. At GE ITS, Steven co-lead an internal leads generation program that increases sales revenue by $15M, allowing any employee to submit potential leads via a web-form that fed the back-end SQL database that triggered auto e-mail alerts to the sales rep for immediate follow-up. The sales cycle turnaround decreased by 3 months and the % of closure increased from 10 - 15% in just 2 months. Employee leads closed were then tied into the rewards & recognition program & annual performance evaluations database.




Experience in Services

Steven lead the largest global data mapping project between GE IT Solutions/Hewlett Packard/GE Capital Information System and over 100 smaller 3rd party IT service management providers where he integrated the Gillette Companies enterprise service delivery systems. This resulted in an $18M savings to Gillette, the first integrated B2B dispatch system within the IT service management providers that standardized the processes to allow the partnership of now the 2nd largest provider of IT services in the world. Additionally, over 600 customers supported through the fully integrated systems of over 100 providers, increased service delivery levels by over 70%. Systems & processes now support over 137 countries, with 35 different languages, over 240,000 end users. The real time web enabled metrics systems interfaced between Lotus Notes (Scripts), SQL (Relational), and Clarify (Object Oriented) Databases with SSL+ for VPN encryption and FOB secure access to ensure the highest security and compliance with data privacy laws.




Pharma/Medical Products/Healthcare:

At Pfizer he consolidated 1,100 servers using a centralized automated backup system and merging multiple monitoring tools into a database that triggered alerts to engineer blackberry hand-helds that decreased service responses from 3 days to




Quality:

Steven has lead over 100 Quality projects using the Six Sigma Methodology in conjunction with Lean, PMI, ITIL, BPM, CMI, M0-6 project methodologies in such areas as Helpdesk performance & call centers consolidations, networking operations & management, Human Resource MGMT, Financial P&L Operations, Payroll & Invoicing transactions, asset management, warehousing and inventory control, supply chains, break/fix managed services, IMAC services, sales & marketing (Including lead generation systems) & Security.




Experience in Manufacturing:

GE's parts management warehouses using MailBox etc... for engineers supporting remote office users reducing part delays from 5 to 2 days and expedited services from 2 days to 4 hours.




Financial Services:

In 2002, Steven automated GE's time tracking system into their payroll system that saved the business $2M in labor productivity annually. Where employees once used spreadsheets to record daily hours that were then consolidated into program, then regional, then manually entered into 2 different databases are now automated and integrated into online reporting metrics. Payroll resources were reduced from 7 to 1, Sigma increased from 2 to 6.




Government:

In 2000, Steven was recognized with the "Chief Information Officer Award" by the MITRE account CIO in conjunction with the US Air Force, Navy, Army & Department of defense for touching over 10,000 systems using new asset management information to develop corporate tools (Desktop2000, FixIt2000 and Score2000) and applying these tools to MITRE desktops assuring systems were Y2K compliant. By 2002, he had received 6 Managerial & Leadership Awards from various GE businesses for the first successful enterprise deployment of Windows 2000 operating systems, Image standardization, the Six Sigma tracking systems, global asset management systems, centralized data storage using QuickPlace (Lotus Notes), and GE's OTIS procurement systems.
