My husband and I own and operate an auto repair shop - Williams Norwalk Tire & Alignment. While I mainly take care of behind the scenes work, I enjoy talking with the customers and building customer relations. I have had some customers comment that they selected our shop because of the attention that I gave them or the extra advice I offered.
I work on our business website - it is not like many others - but neither is our business. Check it out -
www.williamsnorwalktire.com. I have had new customers tell me they came to us because of our website - they said it gave them more information than other websties, that they felt like they knew something about us, and liked the newsletters and customer testimonials. Customer testimonials are so important - I can tell you anything I want to entice you to become a customer - but it means more coming from an outsider who has experienced the great service first hand. I personally think their testimonials are priceless but carry great value.
I take care of all of our advertising needs - including working with social networking. I have listed our business on Facebook, Twellow, MerchantCircle, along with other numerous free listing sites. I also help create ads for our local newspapers.
I like to help others by sharing information - I am a member of LinkedIn - I started a group - Welcome to Norwalk, OH (Ohio) - it was created to help my community grow and prosper.
On BrightFuse, I am the administrator for Auto Repair Professionals; Classic Vehicles, Cars, Trucks, Etc.; Recipes - Share Your Favorites, along with a few other groups. I am also an active member in other groups - I try to help other groups grow. I enjoy facilitating the conversations and offering a service, my experience, and knowledge with my fellow group members. I enjoy doing this - and even though I am a current business owner, if someone offered me a part time postition on facilitating groups in other sites - I may consider it.
I am happily married to a wonderful man - we were married in 1980 - we work at the shop together and many people are amazed that we get along so well after spending the day together also. We have a daughter who is married and a son who helps at the shop.
I like to help my community. I enjoy helping the youth - seeing them grow and blossom is a reward in itself. My husband and I have been volunteers in our community for many years. We still help out. While we may not receive money - our reward is better - we have helped many youths through various programs - and hopefully made a positive impact on their lives.
Have taken various management classes, through AC Delco, among others.
I am currently the Western Reserve High School Dance Team Advisor Assistant (previous years I had also been the head advisor - now I am assisting my daughter who is head advisor).
I help the Lefty Grove Baseball League as needed - I previously was on the Board of Directors as Fund Raiser.
When my children were younger, I organized and ran a talent show for several years at the school - I had the best seat - behind stage - the last to see them before they went on stage and the first to see them when they were done - they were so proud!
Was Cub Master, Secretary & Fund Raiser for Cub Scouts (some at the same time). We took a group that was ready to disband and took them to a very strong position when our son left the pack 3 years later.
Member of PTA when children were at St. Mary and St. Paul Schools.
I like to help the youth of my community. I recommend it to others as well - my children are grown - and I still enjoy helping!
