National Fire Academy At Emitsburg, Maryland
This was a certification equal to a masters degree program. I attended 2 weeks every year for four years. It was very intense. After each 2 week period (classes from 8am-10pm seven days a week) you had to write a paper on a topic selected for you by the instructors about the subject matter covered over the last two weeks. Upon completion your had to write a thesis. This was not a program where attendence automatically earned you a certification. It was based on grades, participation, interaction with your peers and performance.
