For the past 17 years, Mr. Warren Lasch has leveraged his years of professional experience toward his role as Vice-Chairman of Precision Motor Transport Group, LLC. Warren Lasch, the retired President of the company, is a pioneer in the transport industry. Warren Lasch spearheaded the development of enclosed vehicle deliveries and was integral to the development of contract and specialized motor carriers. Additionally, Warren Lasch fought for improvements in truck safety activities on both state and national levels. Warren Lasch’s work with Precision Motor Transport Group led to the creation of two subsidiaries, Bavarian Motor Transport and Tri-Star Transport, which serve BMW and Mercedes-Benz respectively. Warren Lasch’s expert direction led the company from $3.2 million in revenue in 1992 to $70.2 million in 2008.
In addition to his leadership role with Precision Motor Transport Group, Warren Lasch served as Chairman of The Friends of the Hunley from 1996 to 2005. The H.L. Hunley, which was the first submarine to sink an enemy ship in combat, sunk in 1864 and was discovered in 1995. As Chairman, Warren Lasch was instrumental in the management of the Hunley’s preservation and restoration process. For his work with the Hunley, Warren Lasch received a multitude of accolades and awards, including the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian award given by the state of South Carolina and an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from The Citadel. Today, the Hunley is located at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center.
In his leisure time, Warren Lasch enjoys a variety of activities, including golfing, traveling, exercising, and reading. Listed among his favorite authors are Clive Cussler and Winston Churchill.
