Seeking career with employer where a good match exists with my personality and skills to business culture and needs.

About Me

I am a results oriented person, and comfortably function in the lab, at the desk, with a team, and on stage under the spotlight. My job satisfaction stems from successfully delivering for my customer, ranging from concept/implementation to commercialization/completion both individually or as an active team member. Since graduating from UT Austin with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, I have had multiple opportunities at Eastman Chemical Co that lend to my overall skill-set and ability to impact the success of my group, division, business organization, and company. The diversity of the projects have been quite extreme that have allowed me to learn and grow in technical fields, business structures or models, project management, personal interactions, patent law, and many other areas.

My goal is to grow within the technical field and broaden my skills to increase influence and impact across a spectra of technical and business needs within my company. I shall achieve this by maintaining focus on my core strengths and develop any non-core strength areas that are critical for to meet my goals. I will strive to keep a presence at the bench level via exploratory work such that I am effective for a broad audience encountered regularly. Additionally, I am extending my assets beyond the technical, into the field of patent law. Through on-the-job experience of writing and assisting in the prosecution of patent applications, I have gained some expertise in the area of patent law and will increase my knowledge and effectiveness further by means of passing the USPTO bar exam, becoming a licensed patent agent.
